While believed to have originated from the Buwan Tundra, creatures of its ilk are likely to be encountered anywhere in the province of Queenstead. During times of the new moon they are stronger and more numerous, but crossing the path of one is just as likely whether it be day or night, regardless of the current lunar phase.
They are thought of to be either servants or avatars of the new moon itself. --- In the faith of the Seven Moons, the new moon is sometimes regarded as a day of rest. Some regard the new moon as an omen. Some think of the new moon as some form of progenitor moon to six out of the seven moons. Others consider the new moon to be an eighth moon of sorts. A deity like the seven moons, except that it is only awake while the seven months are at rest. And just like each of the other Seven Moons, the new/eighth moon has a set of values that it represents. The Eighth - New Moon: Somnolence, Secrecy, Fear. --- These avatars or creatures are seemingly made of shadow. Partially corporeal and partially incorporeal. They have red eyes. Incredibly long horns. Sharp claws on their front legs. Large prominent fangs. And vaguely feline features. They can vary in size but on average are around the size of an arcane automobile. Numerous tendrils of shadow flows off of much of their body too. Their body structure would indicate a four legged creature, and the way they move would seem to suggest this as well, however at around the half way point of their torso their shadow-like forms fade into whisps and strands of dark and then into nothing. If they have any capacity for speech, they havent bothered to share it with people. This is a highly predatory creature. And some observations would actually suggest they may kill for sport. And they have zero fear nor hesitation regarding highly populated area such as settlements and main cities.

:: Sable Gate ::
This creature is capable of teleporting between shadows and shaded areas. It can also hide within the shadows of other beings.
:: Shadow Rise ::
This creature can animate the shadows of other beings, causing those shadows to rise up and attack them. Such shadows are 'destroyed' after one hit. Though they can be called upon again each time a being naturally casts a new shadow.
:: Lunacy of the Eighth :: This creature's raptor-like claws and fangs and horns are harder than steel and all coated in venom. Those who are cut or come into physical contact with either the claws/horns/fangs are inflicted with a neurotoxin. An overwhelming and senseless fear overrides the afflicted's senses. Making them full of cowardice and also terrified of everything and everyone that they can see.
:: Ebony Whip ::
The numerous tendrils of shadow that flow off of their body can be used like ropes to wrap around targets, to throw, strangle or crush things, or lash at targets.
:: Fantasma Shift :: The form of this creature is partially corporeal and partially incorporeal. They can shift this more fully in either direction though. If shifted to become more corporeal their own attacks will hit twice as hard. If shifted to become more incorporeal, things will pass through their form as if they werent there.
:: Liberum :: It has the capability to move along any vertical surfaces and upside down surfaces. Additionally, due to its shadowy nature, its able to move along liquid surfaces as if they were solid, and move across frictionless surfaces without impedement.
:: Lunar Mirage ::
It can effect the minds of targets that it can see. Causing them to see and hear and feel things that arnt there. Or causing them to not be able to see nor hear nor feel things that are there. This is effectively a psychic manipulation of three of the targets senses. Examples include: making the edge of a cliff seem like a forest, making a house look like its burned down, making it seem like there is absolutely nothing infront of a person when this creature is actually right infront of them. The effects will fade if a person is attacked, or the target spends energy to push back against the effect.
:: Domain of Darkness :: This creature is immune to the element of darkness. Being hit with such, no matter the type of darkness, will only serve to give it more strength and speed. Furthermore, any other elemental types that it sees it is able to transmute them into darkness.
